OK, as you read this, TechEd 2008 has already started in Orlando, Florida, and the first week is devoted to the developers... so let's make fun of 'em.
OK, maybe not, but it's tempting.
For the first time ever, Microsoft has decided to split the dev and IT Pro sides of TechEd, due for the most part to the fact the conference was getting too darn big. The last few conferences have sold out with a lot of folks left on waiting lists hoping for someone's code to break or someone else's server to crash. Now, there will be a better opportunity for those that have waited to get in on this opportunity to learn about the new offerings and get face-to-face with Microsoft Experts.
I'll be working the event as a Technical Learning Guide for the 5th straight year. The first year I presented the features of the soon to be released Service Pack 2 for Windows XP - funny now, I remember how sour the intial reception for that was, and how it's become a staple for all XP users. Last year I enjoyed a great reception as presenter for an Instructor Led Lab, and I was fortunate enough to earn straight 9's, tying with several others for best presentation at TechEd. This year I hope for a repeat of that, as I'll be presenting "SEC53-ILL Alternative Methods to Detect and Contain Malware Using Microsoft Tools".
There will be an abundance of sessions on Windows Server 2008, Vista SP1, Exchange SP1, and other new offerings. I'll post in more detail after I return.

Xobni for Outlook. I think it's as exciting a tool as I've seen for management of your e-mail content.
